PlantAR
About This Game
A prototype project that helps monitor plants.
Keeping houseplants alive can be a challenge. Overwatering, forgetfulness, or simply not knowing a plant's specific needs are common reasons why indoor gardens fail. This project utilizes Augmented Reality (AR) to turn plant care into an interactive and educational experience.
Key Features:
Visual Cues (Image Targets): Replaces messy sticky notes with bright, trackable AR markers.
Spatial Information (Multi-Targets): By pointing the camera at the pot, the user sees 3D floating facts and care tips specific to that plant.
Interactive Tracking: A virtual "checkbox" system allows users to mark when a plant has been watered.
Technical Stack: Built with Unity and Vuforia Engine. The prototype demonstrates the viability of using AR for home utility. While current tests showed that lighting and print quality are crucial for stable Multi-Target recognition, the core logic successfully provides a clean, clutter-free user interface.
